The best part of rereading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series-apart from the fact that you are reading Douglas Adams and therefore are in for a good time-is that books one and two have been so reiterated and been given life in other media that you can recite the dialogue in your sleep. Why is it that whenever a social networking site is down, we recursively feel the urge to post about it to said social networking site?

(Though I imagine that Twitter going down is harsher than LJ downtime ever was, just because of the compulsive nature of twitt'ring.)
